Akrapovic Slipon for '09 ZX-6R Any Good?

I'm considering the Akra slipon for my '09. Has anyone tried one, how did it work and did you need to add a Power Commander and remap it?

Akrapovic is always top quality. I know a Power commander is not required but is recommended.

I just bought a FMF Apex ti/carbon slip-on from a buddy, he never used it! I bought it a few months ago but haven't installed it yet. I think I might throw it on this weekend. They're supposed to sound great and cut a few pounds.

Had an akra full system on my Daytona and it was amazing. I don't think you'll find any bad reviews on anything from them. Without a new fuel map, the bike will run lean so I would strongly recommend some kind of fuel mapping system. Bazzaz is an alternative to power commander and I personally prefer it. But to each their own.

Also, if you really want it done well, send it to the dyno and have them just tune the ECU. This is the most tailored solution and doesn't put a fuel mapping system on your bike, which makes it easier to trouble shoot running issues of they ever become an issue.

Good luck
