Alpinestars’ S-MX Plus boots offer top-of-the-line protection without quite the top-of-the-line expense. These comfortable CE-certified boots are easy to get into: just unbuckle, unzip, put your foot in, cinch the internal speed lace system, zip-up and buckle up. Probably a ten-second job if you take your time. Around the calf can be found a dense-plastic apparatus that extends all the way around the lower leg - it’s designed to make hitting the ground a little easier by dissipating impact energy over a larger area. This is backed up by a vault of sorts that wraps around the heel and has some nice vents to keep your foot cool.

Replaceable sliders can be found on the back of the heel and, of course, the toe – we recommend the magnesium sliders for those of you who like to shower your fellow riders in a shower of sparks. Boots are available in black, black vented, white, red/white vented, blue/black, red/black. The vented models have perforations mostly on the inside and top of the foot areas - good for hot days.
