Default New to Forum hello...

I bought a black 2009 ZX-6R in January. My last bike was a Triumph Daytona 650, and I still have my Triumph Sprint RS. Been riding for decades. I chose the ZX-6R because it seemed to have the best ergos for me. Having it beat out the other supersports in most shoot outs for 2009 is nice, but I wasn't influenced by that. I've put a crash kit on it, and taken all the stickers off. That's all I'm going to do it for now. I'll eventually get a more comfortable seat, but the stock one is fine. So far I'm really enjoying the bike. I try to get a new bike every 5 years or so, due to the ever changing tech on these machines, but this bike is a mad leap forward from what I was riding.

Some say it's ugly, but it looks the business. Others say the pipe is ugly, but I like it as it is compact and in the right spot. The brakes are incredible, the slipper clutch is perfect for the way I ride, and I'm still evaluating the BPF. It's more bike than I'll ever use on the street, but it's been fun every time I've put a leg over. You think it and it does it.

They're an awesome bike mate. Have you bought any aftermarket parts?

I myself just bought a blue ZX6R '09. I'm a tall guy, and the stock rearsets and seat height seems to fit just right. This is my first crotch-rocket, before I had a Yamaha cruiser. So far I've just put on a fender eliminator kit from Competition Werkes (the limited addition model) the plate sits right below the riders seat, kind of hidden.

Don't know why they put rear fenders on sport bikes. They know every1 is just gonna chop it off. Though im sure theres some legal technicality to it.
