Default side exhaust for 2005 zx6rr.

i was wondering if there were any way i could install a side exhaust in place of my undertail.

i don't know what possessed me to attempt it but any input would be appreciated.

welcome to the forums!

If you want a side mount just get a set of 03-04 636 headers and they almost bolt right up (have to bend the #4 tube about a quarter inch out) then just get a mid pipe fabricated by any muffler shop and throw on your can and there you go.

at the very least you will have to add rearset risers. There is not enough clearance between the rearset and swing arm. There is a company that makes gp shorty exhaust that exits out the side (needs rearset risers to fit right) but there are mixed reviews on it. Other than that have some pike custom bent at an exhaust shop and your in business.

if the 03-04 636 exhaust idea sound good to you let me know. i have a 636 stock header pipe and a leo vince muffler and midpipe (the midpipe is scuffed). $250 tyd.

any one know for sure if the 03 header will bolt up to a 07-08?
