Default Grips Vibrating

Hi guys

I just fitted some R&G crash protection to my ZX6R, and now i'm getting vibration on the grips at certain RPMs (around 5k)

I fitted bar ends, crash bobbins and fork protectors. I'm hoping it's the bar ends, cos there's no way it's the fork protectors and anything bolted to the engine causing problems is gonna shit me up!

Any ideas? i'm gonna try loosening, tighting, and fiddling with the bar ends over the next few rides, hopefully that will sort it

Yup, it's the bar ends. The whole purpose of the bar ends is to prevent vibration from being felt in the grips. The heavier the better as far as vibrations go.

You may just need heavier bar ends. They should make weighted bar ends. I dont think the tension on the bolt common to the bar end will make a difference.

No, as zx7rydr already stated, it's the weight of the bar ends that dampens out the vibrations. You need to replace the ones you fitted for crash protection back to the heaviere OEM ones. You may be able to fill the clipons with lead shot to help out as I've heard this done by some people.
