Guys, I need a little help. Have an '05 636 that is completely stock it's got about 4500 miles on it and is running VERY rich. It hasn't fouled any plugs but it is puffing black smoke at low speed or when you roll it on and will tear your eyes in a matter of moments if you fire it up in the garage.
Any idea where to start. Coolant temperature sensor maybe? Thanks, Wuff BTW the bike was crashed. The tank was dented in enough to break the air box. All that was replaced but afterwards it ran rich. Where to look first? |

Check the throttle body inlet and exhaust clamps. I made a silly mistake one time of forgetting to do them back up properly when I did my shims and it ran super rich.
You can usually get to them from the side with a T-handled hex key. Just check they're seated properly and done up correctly, but don't go overboard, just nice n snug.
