Default Burnout

Just wondering if anyone has any advice. I'm not big on burnouts but I just bought new tires and want to burn out the old tire just for the hell of it before I get rid of it. I can't seem to keep the bike from lurching forward and I am squeezing the break as hard as I can( I think anyway). Can someone explain the best way to do this.

Stand up, get as much weight off the back tire so it can break loose not propell you forward. Water/ bleach on the ground will help and add a smoke show. I drag race and I can break the tire loose on my 1k no problem. Put rear tire in water patch. Stand up, clamp break as hard as you can, clutch in, bring revs up, slowly let out clutch and keep that brake clamped as you slip the clutch the tire will start to creep, revs up clutch out more, keep this going until your clutch is out and tire is spining.

the 10r has enough power to do a burnout at about 3k rpm, so what i do is stand up on the bike compress the forks and slowly start to give her gas and release the clutch and then the back tire will start to go up in smoke

I can do them in a snap...very, VERY easy on the tens. A buddy of mine couldn't do it on his 6R last night, he had the same problem with it going forward...I mounted it, and showed him how. Just try a little more and never let go of that brake...higher rpms help but cover both levers for everyone's sake.

you could always put your front tire against a curb or a wall as well....and spray some WD-40 all over your rear end it'll make the cured rubber shards way easier to clean off

throw the clucth open fast and smash the gas, then back of the gas some....theres no way in hell the tire will ever get enuf traction to push the front end that way ....lol

You should always stand up as many of the people here have said, but I do not use alot of water at the drag strip, just a little because I use street tires, but if I am at a farily sticky track I will place my calves up against the foot pegs and hold the bike back with that as well as the front brake. I have never had trouble with a bike skooting forward while doing that.
