put a akra slip on,couldnt really afford the full system so im lookin to cut the cat out a replace it with a strait pipe.did anybody do this to there 07 or 08 zx6r?some good tips would be great to get this done thanks alot

you could always hollow out the cat yourself, its kinda a bitch but its worth it to do it on the cheap.

I'm very interested in doing this project as well.

I have noticed that you will have to take the header/cat combo off completely in order to do work on the cat. The bend right after the cat is the only opening for you to stick a long drill bit to drill/break up the honeycomb enough to shake it out. It might take you forever but it will eventually all come out.

Make sure you get a power commander before you do this because it will drastically effect your performance and may make you run lean, which is bad.
