07 6R race bike updates
I'll have pics up here in a few days. I got the fork springs completed, the rear shock re-sprung, the bodywork is back from paint. I went down 1 tooth and up 2 in the rear. GPR steering damper and stomp grip. I got the exhaust completed, PC3 installed and mapped yesterday... ready for this?
120.59 hp 48 ft/lbs torque! No ram air and it was 80 degress when dyno'd. Can't wait to get her on the track! Monday the 14th is the first day. I am mounting the bodywork this week and will get the graphics (adds 5 hp of course!) installed prolly Friday or Saturday. Nothing else to report, but like I said, I'll get pics up in a few days. Just wanted everyone to know one thing. I took the stock header to a exhaust/ welder buddy. For $50 he cut out the entire cat and replaced it with a straight pipe. I added a Yosh RS5 slip on. I then took it to Smithers Customs (well known locally drag racer/ Busa builder/ turbo builder) and he added the PC3 and custom mapped it. I am making more power than other bikes he dyno'd with full systems. Couldn't be happier!!:badteeth: I will never buy a full system. If anyone wants there stock header modded, PM me and I will get it done for ya. He did an excellent job and it was CHEAP.

What type of material did you replace the cat with? Ive been thinking of titanium but Ive had trouble finding some in my area, and I heard welding it is hard?! (I have no clue I'm not a welder just what ive heard) Do you have any pictures? That would be awesome!!

The replacement pipe is plain ol' stainless. I'll take extensive pics this week. I got all the body work mountedup this evening and got the Galfer Superbike lines mounted. I also got the GPR damper mounted and it looks friggin nice. The V4 model. Anywho, I'll get some nice pics posted up asap.
