Default Need some advice

I am about to have my first kid. Which hopefully won't kill me when it comes to ride time. On top of that I just had my first crash after 3 years and riding and 4 trackdays. Needless to say the fact that it happened a month before my first kid is being born my wife lost it. She isn't making me get rid of the bike but wants me to stop for a few months. Anyone with experience and advice on how to approach the wife so I don't lose too much ride time.

I have 3 kids and since I had a bike before the kids I have a leg to stand on. Based on the fact that you crashed...chill out. You have to weigh the value of keeping your bike towards trackdays and being a nut. Promise her that you'll chill (and really chill out) and it should be fine...atleast that's my experience I commute to get in riding time, squeeze in weekend time, and do a few big trips a year. As long as I fit it into the schedule and keep the rubber side down everything seems fine for me...try it.

Tell her that you will give it up until spring or something, make sure you have a time that both of you know, so there is no confusion when you get back in the saddle. Congrats on the kid.

appreciate the thanks. I told her that I was going to take my time and get the bike back in shape and possibly hold out to do a trackday in may or april. Maybe a couple of weekends in between now and then. I have to do some minor body work and then my bro and I are going to paint it kawi green. His friend is a painter and found the code and matched the paint. They didn't have any green available when I bought it and they had a titanium with a two bros exhaust and I couldn't pass on it. It is an 05' 636. I definitely believe in helmets and frame sliders. I will put some pics up probably tomorrow
