Default 06 ZX6r Yosh RS5 Question

Hello all, I'm pretty new to the whole forum deal, but I've searched and searched online and can't find any info on this. I've got an 06 ZX6r and have a Yosh RS5, love the sound of it, but was wondering if there was any way to make it a tad bit beefier. I also have an 02 Gixxer 6 Telefonica Racing Edition with a Micron pipe, in comparison to the RS5, its a little bit throatier. ANY help would be appreciated (even if that means telling me I'm stupid). Thanks!

I had a Yosh RS5 Carbon on my 05, I definately agree on the sound but I don't know how you could get a "beefier" sound without drilling the rivets out and repacking the thing. With all that work you might as well get a Akro or Leo Vince thats actually going to do something.

Microns are crap

i was wondering if drilling holes in the baffles would do it. i left a message for a buddy who works at a harley dealership and has an 04 ZX10r, he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I'll let you know as soon as I hear from him, but if anyone else has any input that would be greatly appreciated!

I'm with you on the Micron, but at 19 with two bikes and an S2000 and a Bonneville, I'm not spendin any more money on the Telefonica than I need to.

I'm building an 05 ZX6R now, it ust to have an RS5 also. You want a deep loud sound, here's what you do. Drill out one end of the end cap and remove (75 - 80%) of the packing..I do that to all of my exhaust for my 10. LOUDNESS is not everyone's cup of tea but I LOVE mine, especially at 6K and up:wink:

Change the gearing. I went -1. Sound is different from when it was stock gearing. Still louder than my 10 with an Akrao. slip-on.
