2008 zx6r

Can someone gimme a decent overview of a 07 or 08 6r? I'm thinkin about gettin an 08 most likely cause the green/green rims, but mainly its gonna be my girls bike and my secondary mash around bike. Is the power improved alot over the prev. models? Also hows the height as far as a girl riding it? Couldnt get much info in the search so any info appreciated.

If all else fails im gonna get her the revamped 08 250r and just stick with my 10 i guess...............:sad:

No review... But straight from Kawi's site the seat is 32.3 inches. The new 250's seat is about 30 inches. Guess it all depends on how tall she is, and as alway... Experience. Riding....a motorcycle. :wink:

The power is down on 6r compared to the 636...just not gonna happen with a smaller motor. Bikes stock suspension is SICK, the stock brakes are SICK, and well the bike looks sexy. I had the black 07 6r before i traded in for a 10r. The top end is a lot better then the 636 once you do the jumper mod but lacks a lot of power down low and mid range. I'm buying another one for a track bike =)

i can't wait to get mine to the track, i had a 05 636 for my race season this year

I have an 07. Love it!! HP is basically the same as my 01 ZX6R believe it or not, (90.1 vs 90.2). Brakes are sick, the bike is much lighter and easy to ride on the track. The slipper clutch works great and the tranny is silky smooth. Not much grunt on the bottom, but screams up top. I'm going down 2 teeth in the back to help with corners on the track as it needs some help.

I'd by another one in a heart beat.

Well I think you can't go wrong with the new 6R. All around its a great bike I have not done Dyno run on mine yet but Trophyscares who rides with me on the track says my 07 ZX6R pulls just as hard as his bike in the straights and he thinks the bikes are neck an neck as far as power goes. I am not sure but the breaks, suspension, Speedometer are great. I think the seat height is lower for the 07 6R than the 05-06 636. For the price its a great bike.

as kneedragger said I own an 05 636 and the 07 is all around a better bike. I have ridden his and it feels lighter, tranny is alot smoother, brakes are better and pulls hard top end. Last trackday on the back and front straights we were neck and neck top end. Its a great bike!

only 636 i rode was an 03 and wasnt a huge fan. Thanks for all the info guys, i know its a big step down from my 10, power wise, but its so damn beautiful and after hearing about the brakes/susp. im doin it! green on green, sexiest one!
