04 636 lowering question

Well im getting this bike for my girl, and i need to know the MAX that this bike could be lowered....I would say it needs to be lowered a good 5" or so. Would it go that low?

the most you will get out of it is 2" in the front and 3" out of the back. most of the 3 position lowering links available have a stock position, 1.5-2" lower, then a 3" position. i would not recommend lowering the rear more then the front as this will make the bike extremely difficult to ride in the corners. i would drop it 1.5- 2" front and rear and if need be shave the seat or buy a Corbin seat for it. my Corbin seat sits about an inch lower than the stock seat.

I had my 2003 lowered 1 inch front and 1.25 in the rear. I also shaved the seat an inch and recovered it red to match my bike.
