How to turn off email notification

How do I turn off the constant email notifications every time someone posts something in a thread? I get a link in the email that says I can do it, but when I go there there is no way to turn it off. Help. I can't stand it any more.

remove all current subscriptions to stop the emails.....Should be as soon as you open your usercp

There is no 'Remove All Current Subscriptions' on UserCP. I just want to stop email notification, i don't want to discontinue having a record of my posts in my usercp.

There is no 'Options' section in UserCP. There is 'Edit Options'. I've turned off email in the 'edit options' section of usercp. That doesn't do it.

click on user cp and you will find that in middle of the page ^^^^^^^^

:idea:Try removing the subscriptions, you don't have to remove(delete) the thread. Change the way you are notified of a new post in that thread....:idea:

I thought of that, but then I would have to go into that area for every post and it would be a pain.
