Default Force the year to appear in posts

Goshdarnit,

I would like to see WHAT YEAR of ZX-10R a post or thread is about. Force people to include in their profile the year of their bike. By "force" I mean have a field in which people need to fill in with the year before they can begin posting.

Searching tech and how-to's is a real pain when half the threads do not apply to your bike. Nothing like a wiring diagram you have been trying to follow turn out to be for what in some ways is nearly a different bike.

It also sucks trying to sift through threads about exhaust solutions. Does a 2005 owner give a rat's bottom about dual canisters?

enough said.

Doubt they will, I lobbied for different sections for the 04-05 and 06-07, just to avoid the confusion and BD and co. wanted nothing to do with the idea!

I know what you mean though, I, as a 06-07 owner could give a Rats Ass aabout most of the posts on 04-05 stuff, as well as most 04-05 owners could care less about the newer bikes. Only makes sensse to have two seperate sections, I know it would make it awefull hard for BD and Shenanigans and co to reply to every single thread, lol, but seriousl;y it does make more sense.

Please stop your whining and sniveling and move on for pity sakes man!!!!!!
What little confusion there is can be sorted with a little effort but for the largest % there is none.

While it makes sense to you to have seperate sections it doesn't to me or the vast majority on this site as we all have/had zx10's what ever the year may be so while you could give a rats ass about 04,5 stuff there are others that do care about all of the latest model specs and discussions so do me a favor and stop droppin my initials around in a negative light.

Don't know how on earth you took anything in my post as negative, everything I said is true, I did bring it up earlier and you did want nothing to do with the idea, so where is the negativity in that? I was simply replying to the original post bringing up the idea, which had been brought up to no avail.

And the crack about replying to every single post on the site, well, am I wrong all in fun though, don't be so crankyccasion1

because the name of the site is ZX10R.NET not 04,5.net not 06,7.net just plain ol zx10r.net.

your reference to BD & co is a cheap shot and frankly i don't appreciate it as i'm just a member here like everyone else.
