I realize this is your forums and can decide to do with them as you see fit....

But deleting posts, or replies, will jsut remove all the flavor from the forums.

If threads get out of conrol, then lock them......but for all the more taboo subjects that this board does ALLOw threads on, I dont understand how some threads get deleted.

there're only a few times that we should be pruning or deleting threads/posts. when a member asks us or when it is an advertisement. We are just trying to keep things fair for our sponsors who keep our forum up and running financially.

other then the above situations, if something is extremely out of hand we may remove it from the members view, but usually we'll start a new thread with an explanation.

if you have any specific threads/posts that you can think of, let us know.

As of late, I feel like I have posted in threads, and or been reading threads and shortly after posts to that thread or the entire thread goes missing or even worse, EDITED/pruned

Last night some troll was posting, as a first post, about some frame cracks. there were 3 pages of responses, due to his infalmatory remarks. I posted about 4 times in that thread as well.

I came back an hour or two later, only to find the whole thread gone......

It wasnt locked, I dont understand why it was deleted. that posters total post count was dropped down, indicating that the other thread had been deleted.

Again, these are your forums, but as they are public forums, I dont like feeling like there is some sort of censoring going on. If people are posting in ways that arent acceptable, I personaly would prefer to be moderated publicly in that thread. If some flame war breaks out, lock the thread.....but as for taking my/others comments, deleting them, or editing them.......well, either let me post in my way, or dont let me post at all.
