Differences between '07/'08 and '05/'06 shock

Anybody out there ridden both versions of the ZX-6R and can comment on the differences in ride quality between (specifically the rear shock) them? I'm considering buying a used shock from one of the them and putting it in my Z750s. Wondering the differences between the '07/'08 and '05/'06. Thanks for your feedback!

Not sure anybody would be able to tell the difference between two stock shocks if the preload and damping is set somewhat close.

I know its off the subject but im not sure how to use this forum. Doea anyone own an 07 zx 6 that smokes black on rapid throttle opening?
