Seems like only weeks ago we were writing, "Well, it's that time of year again."
Well, it is that time of year…again! Honda and Yamaha/Star have previously announced a number of new and returning models for 2010, so next up is Kawasaki.
Today we learned that the 2010 Z1000 has stepped into the ring for round three with the American motorcycle-buying public. But the Z isn't an island unto itself. Four existing Kawasaki models are back and updated for next year, with minor tweaks to one of them to create a slightly different but new model.

Oh, happy days in 2010, at least if you're me, or like the type of bikes I'm fond of!
It should be no surprise to regl'r readers of Motorcycle.com that we think highly of the naked standard. After all, the 2009 Triumph Street Triple R easily snatched Bike of the Year in our recent Best of 2009 – Motorcycles of the Year awards, lovingly referred to as the MoBo Awards.
Indeed, this type of scoot just makes sense for a lot of riders here in the U.S., although it seems most of you just don't know it yet.
They make lots of usable torque, have excellent chassis, and typically... [Read More]

While we enjoy ripping on substandard motorcycles, crappy bikes are hard to find these days. Take a look at any of our comparison tests from the last couple of years and you'll find only marginal differences between our declared winners and their competitors.
With so much high-quality product to choose from, culling the field down into our Best Of winners was an arduous task. But that didn't stop us from coming up with our favorite stuff from the class of '09! Introducing the first-annual Motorcycle.com Best Of awards. And the MoBo goes to...

You've probably heard the phrase, the battle is won but the war isn't over. That little saying certainly could apply in the case of our 2009 Supersport Shootout. After assembling the current crop of middleweight supersport weaponry from the Big Four earlier this year, Kawasaki's new-for-09 ZX-6R found itself atop the heap in our annual battle.
It wasn't an easy victory for the Kawasaki, as all the bikes in this class are excellent machines, separated by razor-thin margins in just about every respect. But in the end the ZX had just enough ingredients in the right combination to edge out... [Read More]

It's a reasonable thing for most enthusiasts visiting this illustrious webzine to expect our reviews of motorcycles to be conclusive. After all, when we factor in the talents of our current crew of "volunteer staff," our collective experiences span nearly a century of riding and getting to know just about every make and model of bike available for the past 30 years. So plucking out the best should be as easy as getting out of bed, right?
Oh, if only it were so easy. Sometimes even the pros are left scratching their noggins like a small party of confused chimps. Such is the case with... [Read More]
